             The Star and Moon

This wolf is happy and talking to the cat watching the moon and stars! The wolf says “Wow,” and the cat says back, “Yeah.”
The cat thinks that the stars are like a poem out of nowhere, singing a song on a peaceful night! And the wolf thinks the moon is like a lullaby singing your favorite song and rocking him asleep.

Tildy, age 7

            Mermaid

While I was walking by the ocean I saw a fin. I went to the water and saw a real live mermaid. The mermaid came closer to me and pulled me by the toe. I tried to get away but she threw me into the sky. Then I tried swimming away. But at the end of the day we were friends and then it was OK about grabbing me by the toe and accidentally throwing me up in the air. I turned into a mermaid and it made me feel shiny.

Freida, age 5

            Boxing

The guy is falling out of the ropes and the audience tries to catch him. But he falls to the ground and gets back up again and starts boxing until the game ends. He becomes famous and rich. He buys a huge house. Everybody loves him. He becomes the “can’t be beat.” He boxes until he is seventy and at that age he retires. He tells his grandchildren how famous he was and when he died his boxing gloves where buried with him. But someone dug them up and started boxing with them and the generation kept going on and on.
