This piece is a concoction of dysmorphia. I’d like to think that the piece smells of chemicals reacting with one another as the piece seems to clash and morph as you view different areas of the landscape. To me the characters are experiencing a feeling such as that of tv static and that they are stuck in a viscous soup of controlled chaos shown by the colors and choice of decoration (the eyes, feathers/straws). Yet emotionally as you view other characters some look as if they are experiencing agony, pleasure, insanity, and confusion which perfectly captures the mysterious energy of the piece itself. If you look carefully it almost feels like the piece breathes as if it were a frankenstein like creature with an abstract hide and like a chameleon changing its identity to conceal the obvious. It is not fun being a character in this piece, no one understands you and you can't seem to pinpoint why. It is merely the nature in which these beings co-exist, the only thing that brings comfort to these characters is their neighbors which exist in a different form of discomfort.
Is it all just a dream
Or a reality shown more bleak
Tainted in my mind
Left with a streak
The image of it festers
And burrows in my head
Clarity is lost
To those who are weak
Through trials and tribulations
I breathe with indecision
I wish to be at peace
to be free from my dream
