Michael Kienzle is a self-taught artist who started painting late in life.  He works in a variety of media, including acrylic, watercolor and found object assemblages and sculptures.  Most of his work would be considered abstract, but he also enjoys painting imaginary flowers and portraits.  His work can be viewed at Hudson River Gallery in Iowa City, and Summerwind Gallery in Arnolds Park, Iowa, as well as at his online gallery, The No Name Gallery.


ART SPARKS IS A COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE IOWA YOUTH WRITING PROJECT AND PROMPTPRESS, CULMINATING IN AN ART SHOW & AUCTION BENEFIT FOR THE IOWA YOUTH WRITING PROJECT http://iywp.org

THE SHOW WILL FEATURE VISUAL ART BY 26 IOWA ARTISTS AND CORRESPONDING CREATIVE RESPONSES GENERATED BY CHILDREN AND TEENS FROM THE IOWA YOUTH WRITING PROJECT'S SUMMER CAMPS.  

                 

    RECEPTION & SILENT AUCTION WILL BE HELD
